Please remember this games never been about the graphics even though its getting a big update its always been about the amazing game play and pvp style.. Come on jet packs

People may Know a game that was Called Endless Ages was then moved to mmolands still called endless ages then a company known as "Rapid Reality Studios" destroyed the game making into a 3rd person shooter mmropg... Not only they did that but they scammed tons people and stole there pre orders and then dropped of the map without a refund..
Now that was some bad news right? Well this not the same people at all in fact the original designer known as Aaron aka BedBug is back and Helping a new person who has claimed leadership of the game/project named Jason Lee..
Jason Lee was a player of Endless Ages who really missed the game like many did and it was also a lot of peoples first MMORPG let alone the worlds first FPS MMORPG. I have been in the loop about Endless Ages since 2001 thats right 2001... 7 years ago.
Anyways from what I seen things are going great and there going start a closed beta hopefully planned for around the start of Feb then a Open Beta around mid Feb..

Here is some engine changes since the last time Endless Ages was around:
Shaders
Water Shader
You got a glimps of the water shader in the images I posted. It is amazingly efficient and will not kill you PC like most water shaders out there. It provides a true reflection, with distortion, of everything in the environment. You are going to see everything happening around you reflected on the surface. This makes for some stunning visuals durring a firefight. The end product of the shader is dependant on a RGBA texture that can control the amount of modulation in the surface refflection as well as the opacity value of that area of water. Water modulation is controlled by two base textures that depending on the design can generate anything from fractles to the more common wavy water. With some artistic control of how these two textures are mapped, the artist can control the directional flow of the water as well.
Mirror Shader
The mirror shader was developed along with the water shader and has many of the same qualities. It also reflects a true reflection of the entire environment and everything in it. You can also grunge and grime up the surface, warp and contort the surface, and even modulate and ripple it.
Land Shader
Capable of blending 5 base terrain textures with the use of a RGBA blend texture. This enables the artist to texture the terrain with blended textures elliminating the sharp texture changes along paths, and other terrain transitions. Also with the land shader comes the lighting map and detail map that are the common qualty graphics you have always seen on the Aura Engine.
Item Improvments
There are tons of these, many of which would be meaninless to the players, but make development a lot easier. Here are a few you may enjoy.
Racial Items
Items can now be setup so that they work for every race, but visualy look different. A bad example would be a piece of armor, since the races in EA dont share items much :-D. You can now have a helmet item. Any race could arm this helmet, but the visual applied to the layer would be different for each race. You would not want you frog boy waring a huge blobic helmet the size of him. Also with this arangment, a weapon could be used by all races, but have advantages when used by a different race. The Blobic gun is bigger, so it should make a bigger boom, or a frog knows how to use his surrounding as weapons, that human may look cool holding a Dilirium, but he can't stroke quite the load out of it as a frog can. No we have not made it possible for a human to use frog weapons, but its an idea you may find interesting as a community.
Ammo
You can throw ammo in your gun as normal or now you wait for it to recharge. Each gun will have its own recharge rate, so some guns will recharge faster than others. Of course there is always the option for the developer to set the weapon up without a recharge rate.
Menu UI improvments
The menu system has been overhauled and some very useable features have been added, from being able to right click an item in your inventory to use it to having items stored on a quick use bar.
3rd person view
Vastly improved 3rd person view allowing you to engage in combat from 1st or 3rs person. The design was based on hours of playing Giants of Citezen Kabuto. We believe we nailed it and I believe that everyone will be playing in 3rd person. You are even able to hold SHIFT and use the mouse wheel to zoom your 3rd person view out and in to fit your playing style. 3rd person can even be zoomed in to the point that it becomes a 1st person camera. When your character gets in the way of your crosshair, it will go transparent allowing an uninterupted sight on your prey.
Improved Particle System
Particles are now more efficent than ever. The new system also allows for the generation of some amazing and crazy effects. Where the old system used a single image to generate the particles, the new sytem can do a random slideshow of 4,8,16 and 32 images cascaded on a single texture. Each effect has a timeline that you can place key events on. These key events allow you to change the Color, size, Position, Height, and volume of the effect over the life of the particle.
Just please remember this game is not here to be the next Halo 3 quality graphics but here to be one the most best game play experience!

At this time you can't signup for closed beta do to some paypal issues.. Some of you may not know of EA and rather wait to play Open beta before you put money into the game.. The game is also free just a sub fee of 10/month with extreamy reduces costs for 6/12 month bookings..
I'm not here to sell you something I'm here to just promote a old game that people put time and effort to bring back.. This is not the next World of Warcraft or ever will be..
