Because you need to? Or were you going to run your PC on Linux? Or use no OS at all?

Pirating does not help anyone. Software is more expensive today than it was 5 years ago, simply due to piracy. They need to make up that lost money somehow. If you're a business you do not have the option of pirating either, not unless you want to face massive fines & literally lose your business.

You are forking out over $1,100 for a brand new PC, the absolute least you can do is pay 10% of that to buy a legitimate copy of the main software which is going to be running your entire rig. This is of course ignoring the fact that he's quoting a Pre-made PC from Cyberpower which already includes everything listed, while you've pulled a parts list from amazon UK.

Speaking of which, how the hell if your "build" even comparable? No OS, no peripherals, no case, no monitor for $1,100...? The quote you have given for the parts you listed literally has NOTHING to do with what he's asked. You've removed HALF of the components he listed, and you've given him a quote for what they would cost halfway across the world. Pretty Ducking useless, isn't it?
