Are you using PW assets converted to collada or are you making these new assets from other newer games or from scratch ?

Not sure if I agree with replacing the tiles with grass in the 2020 version, after all, its sort of a town-hall-ish area.
I'd feel that would make more sense for the...skill trainer npcs location? (i think they were anyway) down the stairs of that place on the right hand side.



Other than that, those dragon styled pillars look amazing.

Some asset was ripped by ninja ripper and modifed, im using only two.
From other newer games

I love this thread because it to me started off as a question which was shot down pretty quick and turned into a passion project.

Honestly dude, fantastic job this far. Just seeing a replica of the original game in the engine and looking better makes me remember why I love this community.

Damn good job mate, keep pressing. Keep learning. KEEP UPDATING!

Since sources are public for Angelica2 I think ECM and GFX should have been your first system to re-create considering its the most extensive to simulate due to the sheer number of variables and syntax's.

all you gotta do is impliment netcode, interface, .data, server-client map logic (this will be hardest part because mobs and players need a logical walkable grid file generated for server side to block wallhack and help aipolicy monsters know where they can go)

PW source code is public so I'm sure you can fork in a lot of the elementclient based systems into this program build but it will be the hardest thing you ever did in your life.

There is such a guy here
