Port Translation.

I was wondering if it was possible to simply translate ports from one application to another ie.
Running a server say that runs under ports 1234 but rather than connecting to that directly to create a "Dummy Server" on port 4321 which would "intercept the transition" and translate 4321 to 1234 using some kind of tunneling software...
If that makes any sense at all ^^...

I think he means "redirecting" or something like that.

Yes it can be done. In your router on the port forwarding page there is usually an "inbound port" and "outbound port", which I believe will work in your case.
