u have a previously installed version of sql, go to add or remove programs, and uninstall the version of SQL that you have in the system

1. Start menu select run type regedit and press Enter key
2. Click +
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SYSTEM\
CurrentControlSet\
Control\
Session Manager

Right panel see PendingFileRenameOperations
right-click PendingFileRenameOperations. On the shortcut menu that appears, click Delete.

i. In the Confirm Value Delete message dialog box that appears, click Yes.

fixed.

i ran autorun.exe in windows xp professional with windows 7
it when its abt to install it just close down the installer
help?

I don't know or maybe you don't know?:thumbdown: well you must be joking, I have set up SQL perfectly on my PC. I also have that error but when I restarted My PC then open it again. It worked, lmao.
I'm not spamming lol. do you think I'm gonna make that post if I really don't know what the problem is?:glare:
