in gen_config no why a thread said dont need...
i dont use any security SCP, putty or other program... :smilie_xp
i have restored database
i have put in the internal the whtmyip ip and port: my linux adress
but when i open redcabal client the game load the string and says connection failed..............................try to reconnect
pls help me ppl!!!!!!!

Please use the help section for help requests and not the main section ;)

If you have a router than your wan ip (the whatismyip one) is the wrong one to use as you, being on the inside, can't connect to your wan ip. You need to use your lan ip address in the configs and in your internal.txt.

No, the ini (all of them) files need the centos IP for all parts other than odbc.ini which needs the windows lan ip. Anywhere you see an entry that wants an ip address is where you add/change the IP.

Don't use gen_config as it has some serious problems after it has been run once and it will lead to problems. I would suggest configuring the .ini files manually.

Internal.txt needs the centos lan ip too but change the IP not the port as putting an ip address in the port field won't work ;)

Ok, stop with the double posting right now as it is not allowed. You have to be patient and wait for answers sometimes as i don't just sit here all day refreshing the page.

Internal.txt is correct. Those Addr= lines should all have the linux IP too.

config.txt is not used by cabalmain.exe it is used by a launcher so you can leave it alone.

I think you would be better off using my server repack and using my gen_config2.sh as it does all of this config for you. All you do is run gen_config2.sh and answer the questions it asks, it will even try guessing the answers for you as well.
