yea, and you've had it for how long?
brand new its like $50 now, where else when you bought it it was probably about $300 and top of the line. times change... and in the IT industry... this happens rly fast :P

It happens to often. =P

My laptop running a 1.83 ghz Yohan will fly circles around a 3.2ghz Northwood. Hell even if the Northwood was at 3.8ghz it would still fly circles around it. :icon6:

NoPeace - out

that's not a bad CPU. Unless you are gonna run high end graphic applications and mutli-task.

that's a decent CPU...

most people don't understand that gaming apps use mostly RAM and GPU logic.

the cpu is just the hub that it all runs through..

so that's not a bad CPU...

Imagine dumping several 5 gallon buckets of water into a funnel, and waiting for it to seep through a 1/4 inch tube. That tube is yoru processor, the higher quality/more cores it has, the faster those buckets of water can be processed.

So a bigger cpu means a larger tube for data to be pushed through, hence, it gives all around performance.

Thats like taking top of the line GPU/Memory/Hard Drives and running it through a bottom rate CPU... youll get a big ol bottleneck and things will run awful slow compared to what they could be running :-)
