So yeah, just rented this and have been playing it all the day light time I can. Given I've never really played horror games and I'm not that good with horror, this game was f**king scary.
The flickering lights, combined with dramatic and scarce music along with monsters appearing from no where managed to make a very good atmosphere for the game.
Although not as good as some games, the story line is interesting and provides reasons for running back and forth all over the ship. and made it more bearable.
Once I got over the initial (4 hour) shock and horror of the game, I found it actually played very nicely. Fun controls and nice cameras, pretty graphics and wonderful sounds.
An acceptable amount of customization available allows you to twist the play style to your liking and a small but varied amount of guns to choose from, everything from the shotgun to the circular saw thrower allow at least a second play through to experience everything.
I haven't finished it yet(finished the asteroid level, what ever number that is) but am enjoying it immensely and am swearing at everything that moves and can't wait for each new development.
