(Q) I can't see the decoded xlate-e.dat

I have a problem i make everything working but when i open config.pk with Winrar extract it into some folder and wants to open it with pk editor or dat tool or sword crypt delphi but all i can see is encrypted writing(strange letters)!! I have the old client so old config.pk is there which should be working. Any suggestions? What about the key with which i open that(there are choices like 09, 11, f2,..)?

Which files are you trying to decode? The current Int ones? If so the method you are using will NOT work as encryption has changed.

Don't get me wrong, you can decrypt the current Int files but you need a different tool. You will need to search the forums (sorry I can't do that for you).

No im trying to decode files from the older version(like i said in my post). Its the old 060523 version from release section on this forum. And still cant see appropriate words. Help?

he said he was using OLD client -.- when u open your .dat file, u get the use key thing, click on test it, if all is working right it should advise u about what key to use. An other way is using a pk editor, for this u dont need to extract your .pk file, u can just edit it and save

Thx for suggestions, but i already tried all the things mentioned above. When i used pk editor and click on xlate-e.dat strange words appeared(decrypted) and same when i used the test function. Im hopeless now. Tried everything nothing is working.

are you sure u entered the right pk-password? and if u did, check if your files are .dat files, instead of .DAT files, at some pk editors this give's errors

Yep 100% correct password and .dat not .DAT. The only thing I can think off is that it is not the correct config.pk even though i downloaded it from release site. So now im downloading even older version. Thx for all support though.
