How many people do you think I could fit on my server?

Specs of server:

• Dell poweredge 2650
• Dual 2ghz xeons
• 2gb ecc memory
• 2x gigabit nics
• 500gb raid5 scsi space

Internet speed depends a lot, not all people are blessed with 100mb connections.

ehm ^^ the info thats in local connection status window is not ur internet speed thats the speed of you network ( local )

Ok thanks a lot, I have a 6mb connection (eew I know) and I have found I can upload at 50kbs so I have a feeling im going to have more stress on internet connection than hardware :sq_yellow.

So how many people could i fit on 50kbs?

This is what I run, so far, I've had 20 users no probleme, when the traffic gets larger I'll have a better idea of what my max is before lag.

Download Speed: 2386 kbps (298.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 213 kbps (26.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Thats quite a good bench for me seems I can upload 50kbps, thanks so around 40/50 users.
