Actually this whole thread isn't even supposed to be posted. It's antagonistic, no matter if it's true or not. It also draws in drama thats not wanted here... I will say this...
There's many releases out there, and people often times switch credits. I cannot do a whole lot about this, because I don't keep a book on who develops what, and who did what. My original NPC translations were the ones being mainly used in servers in it first stages and I got no credit... but frankly I don't care. Alot of times roaming around I see things that are mine but I usually don't care. But, on the contrary to me, there are people out there who like getting the credit for their work, and they deserve it.
If you change something on a server, like adding new weapons, or translating a previous server, I do not believe that you have done enough to take full credit for the server, so add your credit, and the previous author's credit. Most of us get our servers from sgpt, xpt, or wherever, and it wouldn't hurt to include the previous author's name in the server along side yours, or even just releasing the authors name when you make the release.
You all have to act like role models as well for other dev's, and newer people coming into PT section. I can remember, COUNTLESS times where Quantum's credits were removed from his registration scripts... In turn that would probably piss quantum off and starts doing it to other people. Then some of you other people start doing the same, and I am not going to say any names. Also I would like to say thank you to Nickette for coming clean and apologizing.
I think some of you guys just need to relax, and just calm down. I know it's alot of hardwork to keep up a server, it's a hobby, and possibly even a small amount of money in your pocket for some, but eitherway it's just a game. No one's holding you guys at gun point making you buy hefty servers to run PT on, or holding you at gun point to develop stuff super quick. Sometimes you guys dig your own hole, and try to claw your way up to get out of it.
The point I am trying to make is that this community isn't going to thrive if everyone is at each other's throats.
