Private Question about maplestory VERSION

I see sometimes private servers advertise v163, v172, v174 etcetc, but some versions are like V.94 V97 etc..

what are the differences and how do I tell what content were released in what version of the maplestory?

As for v102+, you can look into Nexon's patch notes on their website I guess. However, just because Nexon offers these features, most servers don't implement all the capabilities as the official server. Because of this, you should read the server's description (on sites like GTOP100 for example), as they explain their top working features. If that interests you, the server likely has a features or updates list on what works in the game on their site/forum.
