Not all of them and please do not put bands into any drawers like death metal or nu metal or w/e.
It's about Slipknot. I've felt in love after their first album. It was so good and brutal that I couldn't stop listening to it. Then Iowa, good but... there was something missing. Subliminal Verses was ok too, maybe because I like Corey's vocal, their percuccion, guitars... still there was a lot of singing and now new album comes out and I just found out their track on YT... :

I hope the rest of their album is better.

Same thing happened to Metallica, SOAD...
Couldn't they keep a good level like our polish Vader? Theyre fucking awesome band since I can remember...

I feel the same way, though Metallica promised that Death Magnetic would be a lot more like pre-Black albums, personally i hope they will be true to their word and i hope this new album will send shivers down my spine like old ones did.

Dude, it's all about what you like. St. Anger is a kick-ass album if you ask me, S.O.A.D.'s dead, so...dunno, i never liked Slipknot too much, they've got some awesome songs and i always wanted to go on their concert coz the pits and all the **** they're making live is fucking brutal...

And i got the new Metallica album (got him month ago) and it kicks ass, it ain't like the St. Anger style, it's more like old school Metallica with some new breed stuff (double bass pedal kicks ass ;P)

Anyways, my opinion on new Slipknot is that the album kinda sucks...same like Children of Bodom's Blooddrunk... see, some people will like it... i bet, half of my friends think that Slipknot's new album blows...

I'm kinda drunk and tired but the point i wanted to made is that it's all about your taste...

What do you mean ? Death Magnetic doesn't come out till 12th of September.

For one. Slipknot is NOT and NEVER will be metal. Now, before you go off saying they are and what not, listen:

Slipknot began as a hardcore thrash rock band. Then, their Iowa album came out and the metal community noticed it. And thus, the metal label was thrown onto the metalcore band that is Slipknot. I'm not saying they aren't a good band, I'm saying they aren't a metal band. I'm actually saying they almost single handedly created an entirly new genre that we now know today as metalcore.

Secondly. SOAD was never metal. They are hard rock.

Thirdly, Metallica fucking pwns both Slipknot and SOAD so hard it's not even funny. Don't even try to compare them to Metallica.

Iron I asked all of you not to put bands in drawers. I hate that bullshit about this band is this genre, the other is other genre (I chose a wrong title, sorry)... WTF? I don't care what they play and I still like them. I'm not going to argue about tastes since It would be a pointless argue. My thoughts are completely different - for me Metallica sucks ass big time. Last album I like is Black Album, after this one they died for me. They could have recorded something like Master Of Puppets or And Justice For All again... ownage tbh.
I'm still hoping that rest of new Slipknot's album will be better.

I talked to my friend about same thing yesterday... He also reminded me about Fear Factory, Machine Head, Korn... All of them went to the fucking bottom beginning as a really good bands -.-

Yeah but i got the album already. They've recorded it.

Again, it's all about the taste...i like all the new stuff too...especially FF's Archetype, one of my favourites tbh...

Fact is, all bands change. It's just apart of the music cycle. And whether you like it or not, it doesn't mean the bands have dropped off and suck. It just means their musical styles have changed.

Personally I love it when bands throw something new into the mix. It just shows they are willing to change not only for themselves, but for their fans as well. They owe it to themselves to give a fan more than just they same stuff.
