Question about Vista and P-server...

Well, I just bought a computer and it came with Vista. I tried to uninstall it and download windows XP. But that didn't work so well. So I'm wondering if I can still set up a private server.

If I can is there anything I should know before setting it up?

Also, is there anything different I should do ?

If you have Home Premium or Ultimate, you could see if you are able to downgrade to Windows XP Professional if you really want to (completely free process).
