[Question] How do the mob attack patterns work?

Hi together,

I'm struggling to understand what the attack patterns are doing actually.

First of all there is a default and a special skill for every mob so how does this relate in addition to the mob skills which come on top additionally?

Secondly how do these attack pattern types logically behave / work?
