Microsoft SQL and My SQL.
Check for MSSQL.
Check for MySQL.

I recommend using MySQL, as MSSQL is horrendously bug-friendly. Every few months I try using MSSQL again, but it always disappoints me. Hence why I still use MySQL for the server networks I manage that need it.

As penihop said; it'll work fine. Peni uses both of them at the same time.

they both work fine together. Most mmos here required/uses mssql to manage the DB, while third-party forum software/website uses Mysql db, it doesn't matter really. Both are different at manager game's db and web's/forum's db. it won't affect the data

If your afraid of loosing the the game-information, you should run a backup just in case before installing MySQL.
