i have a question
What ill effects does alcohol have on the society?
What ill effects does alcohol have on the society?
Deaths due to drunk driving. Abuse (towards other, usually family members) due to alcohol. Growth damage (pretty sure that was it) with underaged kids. And that's just to name a few.
Alcohol is so widely accepted due to the fact that there was a time that people always drank alcohol, water would make them sick, the brewing process would make it safe to drink. After it was no longer needed it was so accepted into our society that it just stayed that way.
Quite simply put, if you look at the effects of alcohol compared to say weed, then alcohol is much worse, but because it's is integrated into our society and weed isn't, it is alcohol that is legal, and weed isn't in most countries.
Not so much in length but for example with the brain, i've read that alcohol will have longterm effects on the brain when the person is still growing and all.I don't think it causes growth damage but it is the most abused drug.
