Radeon HD 2900XT Crossfire Scores

3Dmark06 scores 13100

We got close to two Radeon HD 2900 XT cards and we can confirm that the card scores 13100 on a Quad core QX6700 processor.

We are talking about 3Dmark06 and the default resolution scores. In Shader model 2.0 it scores 5056 while in HDR/SM3 it scores 6245. The CPU score is 3658.

The 3Dmark03 scores 45000 which is not that bad but two Geforce 8800 GTX in SLI can do more than 50.000.

Not all that bad, but how will it actually do in games? CF has always been good in 3DMark but very incapable with games.

Such is the life of 3DMark

It tests all kidns of crap that most games have even yet to use, and when you plug a game into it.. poof, there goes the performance

That's typical. At least you get to see what can truly be done with hardware. I can't wait to see 3DMark 07. See what all DX10 can actually do and no game actually uses. :icon6:

LOL, as all 3DMark jumps go.. my 8800 will probably score a bare minimum of like 2000 on it


Always happens, you should have seen my darn 6800gt try to run 3dmark 07 when it came out rofl, now that was a friggin joke

I stopped the Mark when it tried doing a CPU test, now.. I am a very patient man, but when I have to sit through 1800 frames and I'm going at like .0005 frames a second, well.. I got impatient and hit the reset button real quick

Maybe a little higher. It's like with every new one the top card scores about 5000-6000 points. So I would guess you would get about 3500 or more. Then again you do have a weak CPU and that will affect you scores.

But I know what you mean. It's a slide show running an x850XT on 06.

Lol yeah. The CPU test of 06 is a major killer for single core CPUs. Even with a e6700 it's a pain in the arse to run. Though I wonder what it will be like with the new K10 and 45nm Cores.
