For someone that stopped playing RO for almost 10 years, I sure need some guidance on gearing up and what to do lol. Can't find any guide other than how to farm at early level and getting items at the mall. Is there any in-depth guide on how to gear up and what to hunt? I tried finding help in game but almost 99% of the time I'd get ignored

You can join the Facebook group for guides on quest headgears. Those are the only custom items that you'd need to worry about early on.

A lot of players that stay at least for a day find that it's easy to catch up with "old" players. One custom quest item pretty much takes an hour or so to make. I suggest you start off with a High Wizard, max it out then do some quests. There are unofficial (but correct) quest guides on the Facebook group and the forum. You can always talk to the players in-game and ask them for help. Good luck!
