Introduction
Hi,

I'm Sisija. Meth0d has today decided to stop with his work on HoloCMS. I (Sisija) will now go on with HoloCMS. So... here's my first release. This is also automaticly the new post for HoloCMS because this one I can update.

What is HoloCMS?
HoloCMS is a free, advanced, and powerful website and content management system for Holograph Emulator. It is a complete solution that integrates perfectly, and works together with Holograph Emulator. It has been in development since december 2007 and has evolved a lot. HoloCMS 2.0 is a brand new version of HoloCMS that contains many improvements, fixes, and a lot of function rewrites. Due to the fact nearly every file was modified during the creation of this version, we have decided to call it version 2.0.​

What's new in HoloCMS 2.0 BETA 3 and higher?
This version has over-all fixes of the older releases of 2.0.
It has also fixes from:

- HC (with some it does work, with others not! If not, say it!!!)
- Group badges fully working in hotel
- More Habbo like
- MUS works
- Widescreen fix
- New V23 loader
- Brand new "Hotel is closed" button (note: in config.php you've to enable he status check system!)
- Over-all fixes

In this version the group badges are also saved because otherwhise it doesn't show up in the hotel. But before they fully show up you've first to do something.
You need your OWN external texts (and external variables)!!!

Search in the external texts for this sentence:

Change this sentence to this:

Now the badge should show up in the hotel!

In beta 4 there are over-all fixes and a new "ads" system. See screens below.

In beta 5 there are over-all fixes.

In beta 6 there are over-all fixes and it's easier to understand how to upgrade without lose data.

In beta 7 the ads system is fixed. Please repleace the map "templates" and repleace the files "community.php" and "me.php".

In 2.1.0 STABLE this is new:
- Enable/disable V23 loader
- Better configuration
- Client fixes
- Over-all fixes
- Images on homes don't work fix (for some it works fine, for others not but okay :S)
- Important security bug fix
- Group badges fixes
- Loader fixes
- New group badge system (credits to Kreechin, edited by me)
- Voucher system (credits to Kreechin, edited by me)
- Sticker & background system (credits to Kreechin, edited by me)
- Habbo Version fix (to update css' [that we didn't rip] you needed to edit a lot of files, now you can config it in core.php, example: $habboversion = "23_deebb3529e0d9d4e847a31e5f6fb4c5b/9"

In 2.1.1 the loader is fixed (you can now really choose V23 loader or NON-V23 loader) and install fix.

Installation Instructions
- Download HoloCMS and extract it anywhere
- If you are planning on hosting HoloCMS locally, this is the time to set up apache if you haven't yet, and put all HoloCMS files in your htdocs directory. If you are planning on uploading HoloCMS to your webhost, do so now.
- If you haven't installed Holograph Emulator yet, this is the perfect time to do so. Although HoloCMS can work without Holograph Emulator, it cannot work without it's database.
- Create a database if needed, and execute holodb.sql on your SQL Database
- Once you have uploaded/placed the files where you want them, navigate to your HoloCMS directory in your browser (eg.

- The installer should launch now. Follow the on-screen instructions and fill in the information you are asked to. (Note: HoloCMS does not log your SQL credentials whatsoever, it writes them to a configuration file)
- Once you have completed the installation, HoloCMS is ready for use!​

Why doesn't my group badge show up in the hotel?!
Group badges aren't showing up in the hotel directly, follow this tut so they do.
You need your OWN external texts (and external variables)!!!

Search in the external texts for this sentence:

Updating? Please read this first!
If you update no data goes lost. Only your stuff get updated etcetera. If you want to update to a new version you FIRST need to delete install.php - otherwise you can't open upgrade.php.

Okay, I'm gonna be the first to ask, but...

How on gods earth do you fix the HC bug?! :sq_yellow

I've tried the above, it doesn't work. My MUS settings are 127.0.0.1 and the port 22.

Hmm.. don't know if it works but HC rank was missing some fuserights (btw - also rank 1). Dump your table "rank_fuserights" and than you do this query in your sql database:

I haven't tried Holo V2 at all yet, so I can't check out any problems.

Please use mysql_real_escape instead of stripslashes.
Stripslashes look:
- ugly
and are:
- old

Mysql_real_escape string looks much cleaner, you don't see ugly slashes, so, everything is better with mysql_real_escape.
And as PHP coder you should know how use mysql_real_escape, and it is as secure as stripslashes, so, why shouldn't you use stripslashes, because of the followed reasons:
- NONE!

Hmm... lol. You didn't said this against Meth0d, right? Because almost all the code is from Meth0d. I even didn't had to use stripslashes for something (YET).

And who cares they look 'ugly' - you only see it when you look in the source. I think Meth0d used it because it's easier to understand for others.
