Some skins for your sig generator. Rename each one to "sig" for it to be the background. Dimensions are set up based on the default skin.

I've been using a system like this based off of openMSsig and the really old avatar ranks. Also, I'll have to look back how I did it, but in mine, instead of signature.php?skin=[skinid]&char=[character's name], which causes the image to not always show up in some fourms, I have it set so you can do just [character's name].png, like www.<site>.<tld>/sig/Admin.png

I'll get back to you on how to do that, gotta go find the original openMSsig source... I know you need to to have an Apache host with .htaccess files allowed.

Off topic: narvin, the guy in your sig gets knifed a lot, tell him to turn around.

EDIT: There are 2 options, one that is cleaner than the other, but requires the mod_rewrite Apache module, and the other that redirects the traffic of [name].png to signature.php?char=[name] Tell me if you have that module or if you don't know. If you do, I will post the cleaner option, if not, I will post the redirect code.

If he releases the source, you can host the background on PhotoBucket and then that will save a ton of bandwidth. Also, you could just host it on your server itself, and the no bandwidth limits, or very high limits.

Looks good looks good.. the only thing that might need some work on is.. the font.. the font for the level and name (like where it says admin and 200) doesn't look so well..

You can change the font, just replace Blitz.ttf with another font file renamed to Blitz.ttf

Currently its a work in progress so i won't release the source... YET.
And i was so anticipated i released this im working on a cleaner and nicer one so don't worry =]. Also i will make what u guys request me to do...

Whats wrong? I cant get mine working because every time I try it, it gives me this:
"The image "http://localhost/rank/signature.php?char=Admin" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

I think it may have to do with the fact that I dont know WHERE to put the images in the images folder. There is not folder in the original ranks called images. Wanna tell me where to put them?

EDIT: Still haven't found why it is giving me errors, but here is how to make it so that you can do [name].png for the sig.
In your folder where the signature.php file is, make a new file called ".htaccess" without the quotes. The open it in notepad. paste in this line:

RedirectMatch (?i)^/rank/([^/]*?).png(?:\?(.*))?$ "http://localhost/rank/signature.php?char=$1"

or if you want to be able to use .gif .jpg .jpeg or .png, use this code:

RedirectMatch (?i)^/rank/([^/]*?).(gif|png|jpg|jpeg)(?:\?(.*))?$ "http://localhost/rank/signature.php?char=$1"

Now with the code you have, replace the /rank/ with the folder your script is in. EX: /ranking/
Then replace "http://localhost/rank/signature.php?char=$1" with the path to your ranks, EX:
"http://www.myserver.com/ranking/signature.php?char=$1"
Make sure to not change or delete the "?char=$1" part. Then save the file.

Thats it, now you can just use
