The startGTH.bat file is not in the client folder.
When running GTH.exe, a patch failure warning appears.

Even if I create a shortcut for GTH.exe and add /nopatch, the patch failure warning still appears.

I can't recall exactly what the string is or where to find it. But if you diff Lucky's edits against the original source, you will find a piece of code that requires passing a hard-coded string to the client.exe. Passing this string bypasses the patcher requirement. When the patcher finishes, it launches the client with this predetermined string, and that is why it works.

To bypass the patcher with Lucky's client.exe:

1. Search code as mentioned above to find the string.
2. Create a shortcut to client.exe and then add the string as a start-up parameter.
3. Run the client from the shortcut only, and it will work. Running the client file directly will still not work.

Hello Everyone, i use this version server files,modify masterserver's server.cfg and five GameServeur's server.cfg, update all the server.cfg ip for ip 127.0.0.1. Modify client config.ini, update all ip for ip 127.0.0.1. now,run all server app (1 masterserver ,5 gameserveur, 1 MakePatchFileList.exe), no error . Run GTH.exe , clinet message is "Cannot connect the server". Why？ :~( , Plz Help me , Thx!

My system operation firewall and all virus(or IPS ) protect app is close.
