Reply to thread button visible in Locked threads.

Its showing for me but does not allow me to reply. Not sure for other ranks / subs.

Pretty sure >mods are able to reply on locked threads. But it might be better looking if it was removed (hidden) once a thread is locked.

We can if it's in our section, if it's not we still see the "Reply to Thread" button but it tells us the topic is locked when we click on it. For example, the evo section is not in my juristiction. I cannot reply to locked threads there but I still see the "Reply to Thread" button.

It's supposed to change to a "Closed Thread" button that's still clickable but the button redirects you to an error page saying you can't reply as that's how I've always seen it with other vB forums.

Not sure how this is an issue? If I see candy in the shop, I don't take it unless I can pay for it. The fact that it's there does not imply that I can simply take it

Except this is a normal functionality in vBulletin. This could be a bug which isn't supposed to be here.

I hear you. And I understand. I just don't think it is something that needs "fixing" right now. More so if the forum will migrate to Xenforo eventually.

Just curious why don't you use the Quick Reply? That's what I use and it works fine for me.

If there was a sign with 'free candy' next to it and when you were to grab some the owner would yell back at you that its only allowed if you're white, makes no sense. /jk

Just curious why don't you use the Quick Reply? That's what I use and it works fine for me.

I always use the quick reply but was browsing a locked thread and was dumbfound that there was no quick reply box while it still said reply to thread.

I've noticed that too, not sure when it started happening. However I fully agree with Kreeate that we should focus on the switch to XenForo rather than fixing these innumerable little vB bugs everywhere.

It has been there for ages. It is not going to get fixed any time soon. Accept its presence.
