[Request] Rebirt Glow From Usko (Skin)

Someone has some kind of patch that makes ours shells +7 +8 +9 +10 got glows like usko rebirthed items?

I think the glows were database side because we are only able to do skins that don't change shape/form. However, it is possible to do the ones like that are +5 rebirth and up. All you really have to do is find the DXT file and color it lighter xD

if you got someone good enough at some hex editing, php, tbl editing,and fx creating, I think they could make it to where at like +7andup the armor could get brighter then dimmer such as rebirthed. But who in the hell is willing to do all that on here? lol ^^

I doubt the glowing part. You can make it shiny through DXT editting.

No no its possible to make it go from Dim to light like the effect that rb armor has.

It would just take alot of work. You would have to create the fx for it and everything and link it just like say the glow of a weapon, but it is very possible. Just think about it ^^

Then, go jack USKO's DXT files and it should work. But it doesn't.

well ofc it wouldnt usko is setup to where you have to use a RB scroll to do it, with the myko client you would have to link it to a certain + when it starts glowing just like weapons...do you see what I mean....you would have to make a new glow completely which means creating the effect the same way that the producers of KO made their effects..with that program...the thing with that is is you would have to link the glow to the Strength/HP Bonus on armor when you add it, which basically is the same as a poison/glacier/lightning/fire effect. So basically in a nut shell what im trying to say is, you would have to make new effects for Strength/HP bonuses/scrolls for armor, giving the bonus a glow which would make the armor glow....its complicated and simple at the same time...If I new how to create effects I would totally do this because it is very possible

i think you might find it is actually impossible to add a glow effect to the armour in the same way as USKO rb does.

try adding an effect to anything other than an item in the weapons slots and i think you might find it doesn't work. i could be wrong... but i doubt it you can probably lighten the armour or increase the contrast somewhere in the effects.. but it won't ever be a glow like in USKO.. i have talked to a few people attempting this but never seen anything other than a lighter shiney armour, as Omega pointed out.

It has not to do with your files or what ever,

your .EXE is just not good, if you got someone who is good in hex editing .exe

you could make everything glow ingame,

And if you look usko rebirth armors,

All Rebirth armors GLOW The same time,

Not like first he's then mine ect.

no duh it would be impossible to add it like usko has it as myko does not have rebirth scrolls nor the option to rebirth....god let me try to explain as simply as I can......

If you look at weapons, and how they glow....its not the weapon that glows, it is the bonus...When you put poison dmg on a weapon, the poison glow gets linked to the weapon and after +7 woo hoo it glows....SO...if you were to take just the lets say the USKO FX + DXT's for Rebirth shell, and you were to link it to well lets see, most people in pvt servers use STR/DEX/HP bonuses on armor...make it link to it such as the poison glow does to the poison bonus on weapons..IT WOULD WORK. Just think about it for a minute......

Poison FX+DXT's -Link to- Poison Bonus
So if we were to make JUST THE GLOW OF RB link to STR/DEX/HP bonuses
Rebirth Glow FX+DXT's -Link to- STR/DEX/HP Bonuse

I dont know how to better explain it than that.

dark, i think your wrong. it is the weapon that glows, it is attached to whatever + upgrade in the item_ext# tbl's

and i think, if you went ahead and tried, you would find that i am right in saying you could attach an effect to an armour, but the client would not know how to apply the glow to the peice that wasn't in the weapons slots

the glows are not Linked to the effect, you could quite easily swap a lightning effect onto a poison weapon. they are linked to a number in the database and tbls

the only way you could swap a light effect to a poison weap is by switching the dxt's in the client FX folder, but still the weapon would have a poison BONUS....The glows are created and connected to the BONUSES...without the BONUS...the weapon would NOT GLOW...so saying its the weapon that glows is just wrong....yes in a litteral sence its the weapon that shows the glow effect, but in a technical sence it is the bonus that the glow is attached too.

Now about the slots thing, could be true, might not be....I dont really know....

I mean im not saying it would be a simple thing to do....

And im not trying to argue here im just trying to get you to see it from how I see it....Who knows maybe when I try it itll work and then we will know who was right who was wrong, maybe it wont. Or maybe I just do it wrong and thats why it doesnt work.....Either way, no one will know till they at least try my idea. And I think its a very good idea.....just gotta have people who know what their doing.

this is reason why to be honest really sick of messing with ko some much conflict and crap around not only having to deal with constant hack attempts it is more troublesome then its worth. there are other alternatives with making things work that is in rofd client but unfortunately no one is skilled or qualified enough there is dll injection creating dll to load more data and injecting them into server files and client to load what you want but as i said before none of us are really skilled to do anything of that nature.
