[Request] Source Files

Im looking for as many *.ase source files that i can find.

This includes full maps, characters, monsters.

Mainly looking for a full map *.ase source file, any map will do.
 
rPT GM hmm... why would you resort to a Dev forum that Sandurr doesn't seem to provide any help to? Most of anything that was developed by Sandurr was leaked and never released by him. Shouldn't you guys be able to design custom maps?
 
Nothing personally against you Robinette. It would just be nice if some support from other server creators could help out the community instead of letting it suffer. I would love to provide you with anything you need, but since I am as lost as most people out there on how to bring our servers close to even rPT's I can't sorry =(
 
Lol, I only know one person that has a fully functioning SMD to ASE converter.(Also functioning SMD exporter) And why would you have to ask here, I mean you are a lackey for the self proclaimed "PT God".

Yea, im gonna try to do a custom map. But in order to do so quickly and efficiently, is to have an ase source for a map as a reference tool.

With character sources, i can do brand new armor styles, and the first step into making new skills.

Im simply trying to make the game better. Forgive me for coming to a game development forum for help.

Ive been customizing things in pt since its early stages. This has nothing to do with rPT or sandurr. I was just a normal player in rpt, and they graciously implemented some of my custom stuff. Its different when you skin or model, but only you can see it, vs everyone seeing it and using it.

Im simply here looking for as much info as possible on the 3d aspect the game. Im not here to fight for sandurr or rpt, or argue over pety differences. But, back to the topic at hand.

It would be nice to have a converter for smd -> ase. That would open up alot of good things to play with. And exporting as smd is pretty standard task for 3dmax.

You are totally right. Sorry. Had to vent.

As for a converter I can search for one, or if you are any good at programming I can help you design one. My strengths are anything .NET so let me know, and I will post if I find anything on a converter.
 
You might want to look at this link if it helps...not too keen on 3d design.
 
Your best bet would be to take a client, take an ASE and go spend a couple hours with Ollydbg figuring out the exact method the client uses to obtain Yedang's little home brew SMD format.
