Selling stuff on craigslist

Gratuitous marketing speak, buzzwords and puffery, I would imagine. My first build received retail-price offers within an hour of being posted, although I suppose enthusiast-grade components and glass tables tend to target a different demographic.

I've sold a DSLR, an iPod, and like three iPhones. It's easy really. Give full disclosure of the item that way there's no surprises when you guys meet. Set a firm price, don't negotiate unless it's a good offer and can get it right away - don't settle for lowballers. ALWAYS meet in public places in daylight and tell them to have then correct amount of cash on location. Other than that, you're good to go.

As savage said, full disclosure. Explain any faults in whatever you're selling and why you're selling it. Give good pics, not half-assed pics.

Set the price higher than you want so when you meet, you can be like "oh ok, well I can do down $25, or $50". Sounds like a better deal to them, you still get the price you want.

If you need it sold fast, just check other posts before you post and undercut everyone else. People often go on craigslist just to resell items and will buy anything that is cheaply priced.
