9.300 peso for a quad core? Used? thats too low to be normal, anyway oct core pcs for desktop will come out (at least in Europe) this december, that way we can host servers at home if we got a fast net speed (like 100 mbit)

iv bought it only 8,700 peso, then oc from 2.4 to 3.14Ghz

Question:
2MB upload? whats subscriber? im just wondering, instead of dedicating server,
did you choose 7k monthy by your upload speed?

I think the 9300 php that he mentioned is processor price only, not including motherboard, HD, RAM, etc.
In my first server (test server only now), I've bought my Intel Xeon Quad processor for only 10k.

If you are expecting a large player population, go for dedicated server that can allocate up to 1000 mbit UPLOAD line.
If your server will be hosted in the Phililippiness, max players that you can accomodate without lag is approx 100+ since the fastest upload bandwidth in the Phils is 1mbit for any commercial DSL plans.

I don't know of any plan in the Philippines that have more than 1-1.5 mbit UPLOAD bandwidth, but download can go as high as 5mbit.

But for RAN online serving, UPLOAD bandwidth is the most impt factor.

Even if you have a very powerful server, it will still be dictated by your upload bandwidth.

Just my two cents. HTH.
