The Giant officially

Service pack 2 was released on August 6th 2004 and it is almost three years since it served us well.

Luckily this wont be the last service pack and we already confirmed that Microsoft plans to introduce service pack 3.

Service pack 3 for Windows Home and Professional Edition is currently scheduled for the first part of 2008 and any more exact date is preliminary.

The good news is that it will come and it will happen within a year from today, if the Giant stick to its agenda. You can confirm this time frame here.

Oh gosh, I hate service pack updates.. Last one screwed up my copy of windows.. all three of my OEM XP's at once, and had to call in because of their stupid 'illegal copy' crap that screwed over alot of legit copies.

Itll take a while even after its released before I bother installing it.. unless fo course certain programs require it to be installed, I wouldnt put it past MSoft to do that to us again like with SP2

Most likely the newest graphics card will require the SP3 update. Just like you can't run SLI or CF with out SP2.
