Alright, I've seen abyss web server guides, and wampserver guides everywhere, but I havent seen an Apache one yet. So here I am with an Apache web server set up tutorial including PHP 5 functionality. :)

The pack that I will be giving you includes Apache 2.2, PHP5 with MySQL enabled functionality.

Lets get started shall we?

-Step One-
Download the following file to your desktop:

-Step Two-
Extract the .rar file to your desktop.

In the extracted folder you should see a folder named 'PHP5', an Installer for Apache 2.2 and a file named 'httpd.conf'.

-Step Three-
Copy the 'PHP5' folder to your 'C:\Program Files'.
You should now have a 'PHP5' folder within your program files folder and the address should read, 'C:\Program Files\PHP5\'

-Step Four-
Install the Apache 2.2 web server by double clicking the executable.
Press 'Next' until you reach the 'Server Information' options.

Select 'Typical Install' and finish installing.

-Step Five-
Make sure that Apache was installed correctly by pointing your browser to 'http://127.0.0.1'. You should be able to see:

-Step Six-
If you're able to see the 'It Works' you're almost done!
All you have to do now is go back to your desktop and find the file named 'httpd.conf' in the folder you extracted.

Navigate to 'C:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\conf\'

Replace the httpd.conf file with the one I gave you.

-Step Seven-
Now navigate to 'C:\Apache Software Foundation\Apace2.2\htdocs\' and delete the old 'index.html'.

Now, make a new text document and rename it to 'index.php', open it up and paste '<?php phpinfo(); ?>' into it. Save and close.

-Step Eight-
Restart your Apache services by going to your taskbar and selecting 'Restart' for Apache2.2.

Now point your browser back to 'http://127.0.0.1' and you should see:

-Step Nine-
Congratulations, you have set up Apache webserver all by yourself with PHP support and MySQL functionality as well!

Note: This can also serve as a public web server, all you have to do is give players or people your WAN IP, found at 'http://www.mywanip.com/'

Enjoy!

Problems & Solutions

Q:
My ISP does not allow connections through port 80.
A: Open up httpd.conf and find the line 'Listen 80', replace with 'Listen 8080'
Now when players connect to your web server, they will use your WAN IP with the port 8080 behind it. For example: 'http://255.255.255.0:8080'
