Ive set up the databases, CentOS and server (with chumpy's repack) using dortdort's release.

I currently have Cabal Online from OGplanet installed on my computer with all their updates. I'm not sure where to go from here at this point. Do I reinstall completely? do I download another client? Do I need to use SAUR0N's sync?

Any help would be appreciated

If you are using my repack then look in /etc/cabal/docs/clientfiles. Just copy those into your OG client folder, edit the internal.txt in the data folder with the server ip and then use the batch file to launch the client instead of cabal.exe or cabalmain.exe.

If you need to keep the OG client to play official then do this on a copy ;)

Thank you chumpy ;)

One more thing. Probably an obvious question but, do the copy of the client files have to be in CentOS (so I copy and paste all files into root -> ..?). And since I have all the updates from OGP.. won't it cause errors/bugs?

Edit: Tried it by keeping the copy in my regular OS.. got error: 'language.enc is corrupt' when I ran the batch file

No the client files don't have to be in centos. The reason i put them there is because if you use my server files i know full well you have my client patch handy. If you report bugs and it happens in my files i have a bug i need to fix too ;)

I do recommend a non-updated client as that is closer to the age of our server in terms of features but i have tested updated ones and as long as the client patch is right it should work, i can't speak for errors as i have not tested much. If you have any problems then let me know so i can add to my patch and then install a fresh OG client (i keep my installer just in case).

The "enc is corrupt" error means that your cabalmain is checking the language.enc is a specific one and my cabalmain.exe does not do that (it is saur0n's one) so your cabalmain is the wrong one or not using the start-cabal batchfile.
