[Share] how to edit the fame / eflyff patcher to work for your server
ok this is what i figured out so far:
1. get the flyffame pacher (flyff.exe) if you dont already have it
2. get hexworkshop
now make a backup copy of the fame launcher just incase you mess up, open up the fame launcher with hexworkshop (right click > hex edit with hex workshop) now press Ctrl +f , change the "type" to text string
search value as fame.
it should find fameguy %s followed by more stuff etc
now everytime you see flyffu.flyforfame.com or a website with flyffin it change that to your website,(clickbefore the first letter and just type over it) if your website name is bigger it will not work!
if your website is smaller and you still have the end part of the flyforfame URL there click after the .com or whatever your website URL ends with and it should highlight the hex in the left for the hex which corresponds to the remainder of the flyforfame URL jus type 00 00 over it so it will appear as a . in the string do that for every time you see the flyforfame website URL
run it to test it will have your website up the top left and your website should load in the middle window of the patcher (you won't be able to test register button yet) this is because you will get the error of could not locate file, this is normal because we haven't finished yet.
now got to your web directory (if your using wamp the WWW folder) or the equivilent on your server
make a folder called "NeuroSpace" (no quoates) that exact spelling then inside that folder make a folder called "RESCLIENT" (also no quotes) then in the RESCLIENT folder copy the contents of your flyff directory into there (so it has got your neuz.ini etc)
then open up notepad and press save as, save it as list.txt.gz exactly like that (if you have winrar it will come up like an archive folder) only you wont be able to extract it because it will say invaild or corrup archive, im guessing this is the compression extension (.gz) which the patcher recognises and decompresses so nw move that file (list.txt.gz) into your RESCLIENT folder on your server then run the patcher again it should work fine (but not update anyhing) then test the register button make sure it goes to your website, also test the top left link so it goes to your website, and finally your website should load in the middle box area
the reason it does not patch anything is because the list.txt.gz is empty, i have yet to find out the format in which to type the files for it to download (listing then doesn't work)
sorry if you find it hard to follow it is my first tutorial i hope it helps!
