Shrinking Database/Files

Equalled gave me a query wich could shrink a entire database from example 15GB to 1GB. sqlserv.exe is using 200MB ram atm wich is insane. any got this query to shrink the db and files, use task->shrink doesnt work.

Take "Properties" on you'r DB and tab "Options" and set "Recovery Model" to Simple to db size goes down self, dont forgett to change it back to Full when its done, im not sure if there is an scrip to do it manualy. (Usaly takes 15-20min)

didnt work im now at 95% mb ram usage-.-

It simple to use and it can make you go from using 95% of ram to about 30-40%. I use this myself and have for a very long time now. It works great and i have not had any problems with it.

When you first use it to free up some ram your PC will be slow for a few seconds, But after that u got plenty of free ram.

Rayman is right just set it to simple make backup than make it full again should work
