First off i would like to start by saying, after i post this there should be no more "I cant connect i keep getting conn failed" Bcuz check it out im about to list ALL the posible reasons why you are not able to connect and if this doesnt solve your noobish problems then JUST QUIT lol.
If anyones got any more sugestions on why people get Conn Failed tell me here and ill update the first post.
- Make sure your not using a protected client such as rPT's
- Make sure you hexed the sql.dll with the correct uid, ip and pass
- Make sure you edited the registry right and the ldata
- Make sure you did ODBC correctly and its set to accountdb NOT account_db
- make sure you also set the odbc name c8master
- Open SQL.DLL with notepad Search for (Provider=SQLOLEDB.1) and remove the (.1) so it be (Provider=SQLOLEDB)
- For gods sake dont forget to edit the hotuk.ini LOL
- If your not hosting on a dedi server then open the correct ports
- Disable your firewall
- For gods sake dont use jPT theres to many bugs with that, use kPT lol
- Remove the SQL.dll (last resort)
- Uhhh... VERY last resort is use Hamachi..
[*]make sure client / server match
[*]delete ptreg.rgx from client side
