[Solved] Hey guys. i need some help forwarding ports (AS A PLAYER, NOT OWNER)

Heya guys, first off im not making my own server.

I am simply trying to connect to an existing Pristontale private server, in order to play .

Now ive browsed these forums an found that most people say 10007 upd/tcp and 10009 udp/tcp are the ports to open. With 80 TCP opened to get the clan system working.

So with that in mind, i opened two range of ports on my router.

TCP 10000 > 10018

+

UDP 10000 > 10018

Along with TCP 80.

Yet still i cannot connect to this server.

I read on another guide that i trolled around for that the admins have the ability to hex the values of the ports and change them into whatever they want, yeah?

So if the owner of this server has done that, then i guess the only way i can find the ports is by talking to him.
But he never replies to PM's.

So unless anyone can tell me of a port iv'e missed out in order to connect to a prisontale private server, i guess im stuck.

(again just re-itterating the fact that im not a server owner/creator. I am just some random guy who wants to play someone else's PT server, and i need the ports for my router.)

Lol, you don't have to forwarding any port to be able to connect to another server...
You just need their IP, change it and you will be able to play.

Unfortunatly i do need the ports.

This is the reply i get alot from people ^_^.

Im at university atm, so all games/webcams/torrents/P2P software....its all blocked by the Universitys firewall. As they dont want students using malicious links/software and breeding a network virus.

However students are allowed to create 'firewall holes' by using the correct ports for specific programs.

So i DO need to know the PT private server ports. If anyone can let me know that would be great.

i have 10009 open on TPC and UDP, as i said in my first post at the top =[.

Did you acsess your roters site? or did you try to portforward via firewall?

My university offers a site where students can open ports on TCP/UDP and then every morning at 8.25am the tech team rebuilds the firewall, and implements all the ports that people have entered into their firewall config site.

Its nothing to do with how/where/when im opening the ports. all the games i have previously opened ports with have worked.

Its more a case of, im not opening the right ports?

People say 10003/10007/10009

And iv'e tryed them all.

I mean i ahve 10000 - 10018 currently open. And its not working.

Figured it out. It was the right ports, but the private server host was blocking my IP.

sorted now.
