I think this is in Amerika, but im not sure
Its about the telephone numbers.They are seven digits, first three starting with 555- then four more.no matter what region/country its just CANT have less than 9999 citizens, so what happens then??

thats what area codes are for :)

exp 555-555-5555

oh...thats kinda gay..
To make sure i get it, you want to phone 10 blocks down the street, and you have to use another area code?

no, because there are more than 9999 possibilites out of a the last four digits :P (not to mention the first 3 digits, which change accordingly, even in the same area) there are a few different area codes, however, but they are all pretty nicely stationed.

click on michigan and see how many are in my state :P

lastly, cell phones have also changed phone numbers drastically.. you can have a 345-xxxx home number and a 780-xxxx cell number (with area code attached).

do u have 2 use the area code when dialling in same area like they do in the UK or do u have 2 use it regardless?

only if it's outside your area code.. if it is and you dial without the area code it will prompt you to insert the area code before you make the call.

And Silveron it's not very hard at all just like anything else you pick it up and run with it like second nature.

actually, some states (Massachusetts being one of them) u do need to add the area code for EVERY call (totaling fucking 9 numbers)

KY and TN dont have to :P
i think the u have to dial the 9 digits if ur in a high cell phone area (that was the reason we had to start doin the 9 digits)

Yeah in higher populated areas I could see having to use the area code each time, but not here in Michigan :P

theres a lake there :D

and yeah if your dialing to a different country you have to add the country number... e.g.

UK = 44
Belgium = 32
Canada = 001

If someone phones you on your mobile then the number will come up as +44 which is actually 0 (as long its within the country)
