Oh, these guys had become a moderately successful meme in France at some point.
The thing is that there are two opposing camps, one that's trying to reintroduce bears and wolves in France because they've been wiped out and the forest wildlife is all kinds of F'd up without an alpha predator to bring balance to the ecosystem, and the other one is trying not to have their livestock (if not kids and pets) eaten by said alpha predators. And it's one hell of an issue since both sides are, well, right in their own ways...
