Have Some problems :furious:with Linked Server !!!
:gun_rifleI enter in Cabal -> Login with my id and PAss->Select Test Server->Connect Chanel 1(Trade)->Click Create Character-> Enter The Name ->Set my face....->Click Create and it SAY:Cannot proceed with the command due to unknow DB errors.Please try again I read many Theard ,topicks, i have already usw search but i can't Correct My Problem rotest:Who Can Help MEE??? PLEASEEE:busted:

follow chummpys guide for correct way to set link server.

and try reinstalling account db

Try changing that to the windows ip address. Everything else looks ok.

hmm...same problem, I'm using your repack and follow your guide too, and the database is from chump_db_9.8.2008.rar. And I'm using the Chinese client.
I'm using the MSSQL2k5, and in that pdf guide, I noticed that it need to create a new account which is called "cabal", is that necessary? Because I never see any files using that account in linux side.

You can just use your "sa" account and password or you can create your own. I used an example account of "cabal" but i would not recommend using exactly that as if anyone tried hacking your database what would be the first account name they would try?

Now that is an odd error. Everythng i can find indicates a very strage sql2005 issue and i can't find anything definite on what causes it. Do you use centos 5 and does anything else show up in your logs anywhere?
