Moved this post to make a thread out of it =)

I can come up with a few good reasons to dl:
1. Much Better quality
Compare HD releases (like OP) to veoh or normal releases to youtube.

2. To archive it and re-watch at ones leisure.
Sometimes it's harder to find older stuff on streams (or at least complete) + you'd use less bandwidth overall.

3. Quicker releases
Takes around half a day from when an episode is released to when it is on streaming sites (eg. I've just watched bleach 185 already lol)

I still can't get any good reasons to stream instead.
Only ones I get is you watch it straight away, whats 10 mins?
It gives me time to go and get a drink and make snack ^^

Another is the whole my bandwidth is capped issue...
Watching at veoh means you use the same bandwidth with slightly worse quality.
Watching at youtube is around 80mb for an eps that is normally 170mb and you are getting about 1/4 the quality...
If bandwidth is the issue then just download eps that have been converted to rmvb (40~60mb and higher quality than youtube)

Another is because they don't know how to use torrents/XDCC...
If thats the case then I don't think they should be allowed to watch it because they are just being lazy since it is easy to do.

Crash

Youtube does not offer 'HD', what they offer is 'HQ' which is just a better quality than what was previously offered. Their so called 'HQ' is not an actual High-Quality video, and quite far from being an HD video.

I download because I like to watch episodes with good quality, and because I like to archive. I just recently bought another HDD to store more anime on.

I don't get anything RMVB because it's proprietary, and my bandwidth is good enough to download Xvid/H.264 episodes.

As for it being quicker to watch from a stream, I would say not really. If you have a half-decent connection (I have 3mbits), you'd only have to wait for the first one. Since by the time you're finished watching that, the second is already downloaded, and so forth. As for running low on space, you could just delete the one you just finished watching.

Download.

As the quality is 100% better due to HD release of anime lately.

Plus if you have laptop like me you get the chance to watch it anywhere on the train on the bus in the car.

So to me d/l is allot better.

stream if high quality divx

Its easier just to watch from a site, also downloading takes a long time with torrents -_-

like what i said
i stream in high quality !!!!
and then save the temp download file

DivX streams were the best, because they didn't cut on quality, plus they allowed to you to save it after the stream finished download. Sucks that stage6 went down. Although I cba with any kind of streaming now, downloading is just much better for me.

Another reason why I download over stream is because my internet is pretty crappy and drops a lot. It's happened before where the stream stops like halfway through the episode because my internet drops, and doesn't continue unless I refresh the page. It's very annoying to have to wait for the stream to get back to where it left off (the DivX player is the only player I've seen to not have this problem), with downloading, I never have this problem.

As for torrents being slow, they really aren't. Sure ones with like 1 seeder and 3 leechers will probably be slow, but that's where direct downloads come in.

I also find that it's much easier to find complete episode collections available for download when compared to streaming.

for me :) Download ...

i like to have it on ma PC so i can watch it again .. Burn it if i want :)

also as DrMido0o said ... i can dl and do other things .. when i have some time i come back and watch it :D

steam steam and more steam :D

with my fast computer it dont take long at all

but i do download some like FullMetalKite said but i use veoh to download my videos
