Suitable Hardware Specs for 500-user Mir 2.3 Server Mir2

Hello-

Its been a while since i last ran a Mir 2 server (back in 2003).

I was wondering would this system and connection be okay for 500 users?

CPU Core 2 Duo Extream Edition 3.28GHZ

8GB RAM DDR2

512GB HDD SATA HardDisk #1

512GB HDD SCSI HardDisk #2
512GB HDD SCSI HardDisk #3
512GB HDD SCSI HardDisk #4

Dedicated 2gbit Backbone Network Connection

Dedicated 2gbit Second Backbone Backup Connection Fiber-Optic

not really sure wat the point of this post is.

You showing off the fact you have a nice server? or have you copy and pasted that off some other website.

And no that wouldn't run 500 users, like you would even get 500 users. Dont think euro mir even has that many people any more.

Not saying i can get 500 users.

Its a dedicated system i have been putting together for a long time. And it pays off to own your own computer store.
 
Fast hardware is just one of the factor...what about others?
E.g. bandwidth, server software, tuning...
Anyway, I'd say your PC specs are good to run a decent server.

Unlimited Bandwith.

Im hopin to get a good Mir 2 server running. Basically it will be a community donation. As i will be allowing anyone from the ragezone mod team to become a GM on the server.

Since we go back since ragezone started.

Hopefully it will be like the good old days, where there was a lot of ppl playing mir.

Well if anyone has ideas for the Mir 2 server please do not hesitate to ask me :)
