Alright, ive tried what I can, and i KNOW how to use MYSQL and setup any of the servers on here, but what the heck? I double click on the svMapCenter.exe and it gives me an error (look at screenshot) Ive opened all config files and changed any usernames and passwords that could be changed, and anythign else i coudl think of, but it is STILL giving e his error, mind deducing what this problem could be? (PS. I set up the earlier parts with the databases perfectly as well)

The only thing i can hink of is that is isnt connecting to my database, but i havent found any config files i can use to let it do that...

I think you will find that it does matter, MySQL and MSSQL use slightly different syntax for Querys and Procedures.

actually.. yes, they are fully compatible.. i had already checked the script compat issues and they run 100% without any errors, the only changes i had to make in the batch files were login and passwords. I now have a 100% fully running redmoon server under MYSQL

Exact same problem here.

I am guessing it's the problem with my IP, I've tried using both my internal (192.168...) and external (24.150...)

Did u start the server? Use server manager(not enterprise manager) and press the green play button on it -.-;;

That error means that it cant detect the SQL server. Either that or you didnt edit an .ini file to the correct IP. The other possibility i can think of is that you might have a router that doesn't let you connect to you o.O.

Indeed, I played around with MsSQL for a while, and ran it right before you posted it, I am past the map file now without any problems.

Was just about to post the solution, perfect timing :)
