For people who don't know the RCMP stands for the ''Royal Canadian Mounted Police''. They ensure Canada's protection and safety. Lately Canada's police force have become more of a disgrace, and something that should be protecting Canada. Behind the RCMP, are secrets, the RCMP killing innocent people that don't pose any harm. This is just one example of the RCMP brutality against immigrants.

This happened Sunday, Oct 14, in Vancouver's International Airport.

Robert Dziekanski, a Polish immigrant, dazed and confused from a 15 hour flight, arrived in Vancouver's International Airport and went to the primary customs. Proceeded to secondary customs, like any immigrant that couldn't speak English. After the customs, he waited in the arrival halls for more then 9 hours, waiting for his mother to show. He started to become increasingly frustrated, and then becoming frantic. While his mother was outside trying to speak to people with her broken-English. She drove home only to get a call saying they found her son. Only to find out he had died, 2 hours after she drove always the way to the airport. They told her that he had been killed, but that was not the true story. While Robert Dziekanski was waiting for his mother, a police officer tried to talk to him, but he knew little English. The police officer then turned his back to Robert Dziekanski and told his other ''buddies'' (other police officers) to come here. After that, the situation gets worse, after 24 seconds of trying to talk to Robert Dziekanski they taser him, 3 times. One taser makes you feel excruciating pain, 3 is death. An international airport, a place where everyone, and anyone, can come to, is now a place of a immigrant dieing. A person got this whole act of violence on film, and even yelled the to the officers ''He doesn't know English'', yet they still tasered him, repeatedly. It's said that before Robert Dziekanski was tasered, he opened his hands, almost like he didn't know what was happening, which means he was no harm to the officers. The police never showed the mother the tape of her son being tasered, until 2 days ago, where she said ''"I would describe it as something that will be shown to police academies around North America as not the way to intervene in this kind of situation."

I don't know about you, but I don't tolerate this kind of violence to someone that just came to enjoy Canada or anywhere.

Yes they did it again. Police I mean. Violence never ends, and police should present public safety and now this. I hope those guys will spend alot of years in prison, but thats probably not gonna happen.

its sad that they killed him but here in canada we don't use that pussy ass pepper spray. in anycase they should start talking calm then if it gets worse stun till he is on ground. after handcuff and done. but if you shoot 2nd taser shot off on purpose then yea the police go down. if nessecary to shoot then shoot. i would rather be stunned then shot by gun. not all cops are bad.

lots have been dieing from jackass drug growers that got caught and dont wanna go down.

also im planning on becoming a RCMP because i can put the law to the people who deserve it. they are not a disgrace. and dont be disrespecting them cause you could be at the end of a taser. :p

took 3 shot to get me down :p

It's no debate that they did wrong, but those men were individuals. It could've been any group, really.. but of course when it's a man in a uniform that commits a crime it gets wider attention. For a reason, too, I don't deny it.. but if we're going to hang people it should be the ones responsible for this and not the whole police force.

Really sad that this happens, though.. just as sad as any other homicide.

Oh **** off, don't make it sound like our police force kills immigrants. That is a retarded implication to make. Yes, sometimes a cop goes crazy and does something irrational while acting on their apparent racist belief's but that happens everywhere in the world and in this incident that you explained involved acouple cops, not the entire RCMP. You make it sound like RCMP are plotting to kill people.

Epic fail.

I agree that not all of the RCMP is doing these kind of things. But you have to realize this is just one example out of more than a hundred. Police take advantage of their powers and they go to far.
