To Buy or not to buy?

Right, thing is i'm going on holiday in cpl of weeks, and was wondering, do you think I should invest in a Ipod video? anyone know if these are any good, can i convert my movies to the format from dvd? I have so many unanswered questions.

dont do it, get a creative zen vision m, miles better, cheaper, suppourt more video formats and come in 30 or 60 gb. i use imtoo dvd ripper to rip did'z as it has a creative zen vision format and it does me nicely

yeah you should get the creative zen vision M... if you live in the U.S or something there's a 50 dollar rebate on it on newegg! i love my vision M.... and it looks shiny so it looks nice! compared to my brothers video iPod, it woops its butt hardcore!

well i love my ipod video ^_^

its an 80gb so i can hold all 40gb of my music + about 20gb of family guy/invader zim/heroes/robot chicken/chapelles show + i got about 15 gigs of games that i just copy to the tafe computers and play

though i guess the ipod was easier for me since i already had all my music/movies cataloged and tagged in itunes... i guess you'd use WMP or some other media player for the creative zen? meh.

If you can't find a cheaper/better alternative (there are a few) then just buy it. it isn't bad at all but people jsut hate mac so they say its terrible. Oh and if you plan on dropping it than don't get it either. one drop may not break it but two or three and its gone.

remember that ratboy, go into your diary and cancel all plans to drop the ipod.

though get a nice rubbery silicon case for it and drops shoudn't be a problem.

i know what you meant ^_^
but people dont rly plan on dropping things do they? i mean people wont buy laptops then would they cos they think they might drop them. if you're prone to dropping things, put em in your pocket, dont go and let your carelessness be a deciding factor in purchasing items.

iPod if you don't mind spending alot (Lotsa battery, space and features)
But what ever you do, DONT get any other iPod than the video, all the rest suck poop.

Dont get an iPod, they suck. Get a Creative Zen, much much much better!

The only decent thing about the iPod is the wheel thing, but it just doesnt make up for the downfalls of the limited file types and having to use that iTunes crap...

I just bought a Creative Zen vision M, it turned out one of my mates mysteriously could get me one for a hundred quid so I got it, but now struggling with the, where to download movies and shiz, as i find its a pain in the rear end to try and convert my dvds to the right format and shaz, any ideas(not asking for free movie sites) dont mind paying, but just cant seem to find any decent film sites, mind you saying that, you can't legally download films like you can mp3s i guess?
