I have seen alot of people asking "how do I translate my server?"

I'm sick of that, so I'm going to make this guide.

First of all, you should know that the text are stored inside the *_msg.enc files.

cabal_msg.enc

The texts inside this enc is related to:
  • Channel Names
  • Server Names (Mercury, Venus etc)
  • Character class
  • Item decription
  • Skills
  • Worlds
  • Npcs
  • Quests
  • Craft
  • Proof
  • Recipes and their results
  • Monsters

(If I missed anything, please let me know.)
All the texts inside the encs follow the XML standards.

caz_msg.enc

Premium server description. (Thanks to LostSpirit)

cont_msg.enc

The texts inside this enc is related to:

  • Missons (not sure)

It might be the texts that mobs and bos speaks in the missions. (Thanks to LostSpirit)

msg.enc

The texts inside this enc is related to:
Commom texts, like:

The trade has been canceled. You cannot add more Alz.
You have left the party.
You cannot use any buff skills while in the Force Enchanter Mode.
You have successfully upgraded the item.

And it appears to contain some kind of in-game commands.

/leaveparty
/friend
/duel

Also, in this enc file are the login screen texts.

Please enter account name and password.
Please choose a server and a channel.
The channel cannot accommodate any more players.

You will find in this enc, and probably in the others too, that kind of text:

<var_msg id="1" param="1" cont="Screenshot image has been saved in %s." />

DO NOT edit them unless you what your doing.
If you dont know what %s, %d means, go google by sprintf & wsprintf.

Feel free to give your opinion, or info to make this guide better. Thanks to everyone.

I already said, ui.dts, its found in CABAL/Data, open it with Notepad.

The "ID" and "Password" isn't in the ui.dts, it can be found in UI_Texture4.dds, which can be found in \Data\UI\Theme1\ of your Cabal folder. To edit it, use PhotoShop with a DDS plugin, and find a guide somewhere so you don't mess up the UI when you save it.

Hey guys, this guide is for translating texts, not images.. Keep focus in the thread subject. IDK how to change or edit images, because I suck in PS and 'cause of that, I dont even want to know how to edit them. If anyone would like to teach how to do it, please make a guide. Thanks

Use GIMP With the DDS plugin, you'll find it easier like that.
