Have you installed SQL 2000 Service pack 4 that is found here:

The reason they arnt connecting is probably because you have NOT updated to the lastest version of MS SQL 2000. Download the service pack 4 then try to open them.

its good that someone ask this question. Ive tried re-installing the server to a windows 2003 server sp2 + mssql2005+sp3 machine. Zemilogin and mapserver wont connect to the DB.

can some one add me on msn because this is rediculuse i have sp4 and i have done ervything perfect to what you guys say and the anoying loging and maps still dont work and everything perfect and YES i do have sp4 installed so dont ask and ip in database are also redone manny time if any one willing to help me add me on msn and thz i really appreciate it at [email protected]

By the way, the same server configs works on windows 2000 and mssql 2000+sp4.

Wolfos, if you have tried installing the server in win2003, please enlighten me on what to do.

Nevermind, got it working now. culprit is mssql2005 regarding port 1433.

@ CB-Byte: I havnt I'm afraid

@djcyber Its most likley a port problem - check your registry and db to ensure all ports are correct.

What im getting at is make sure the ports in your reqistry are the same as the ports the the accounts database tables.

1. check your ODBC connections, it might be pointing to a different database.
2. install mssql 2000 + sp4
3. configure all IP and ports in both database and registry correctly (see detailed configuration somewhere in this forums.)
4. firewall must open port 1433 / some anti virus with FW also blocks this port. (please check other ports used by travia.)

other than that if you have set up your server correctly and still have problems...a fresh install of your OS and your applications might remedy your problem.
:D:

TO WOLFOS;
I can see he's running the server under virtual machine, I havent tried setting travia in a virtual machine, maybe that's the problem.

ah ok, you were remotely administering your server using a third party (VNC). sorry, i've mistaken vnc for a virtual machine of some sort.
