Trouble connecting to DB

When i try running my server, i try logging in with user = sa and pass = my pass. When i click ok, the box dlashes and nothing happens. I dont know what im doing wrong, but my dedi is a 64 bit. Im hoping some1 can help me. I know for sure 100% my password is correct

did you create the odbc and modify then in config file (.txt) server side?

I created the odbc and everthing, but i have no idea what your are talking about with the .txt file. What is the name of the file and what do i have to modify?

nvm i somehow fixed it! I made the odbc's in user dns along with system dns and it worked. Now, i just need to set up the client i guess. What do i download on the computer i want to play from? Is there a certain version of kal i need to install?

config.pk with edited xlate-e.dat...in data/config ...you have to put in the ip of the hoster in there...there should be tuts that can help you...just use the search function...

even though i changed the config from 127.0.0.1 to my IP, when i launch the server it shows up at 127.0.0.1 and i can't see any server, just the screen.

anyone wanna gimme some remote assistance?
