It's because you're trying to edit servers that are excrypted, try to edit ijji, it will work.

uhmm I got a problem, when I try to recolor my shotgun, when I saved the .dds I go ingame and I cant see any changes, how can I fix this?

Because i assume that your texture has a way other name ...
Make a copy of the original weapon.
Open it in a Hex Editor and edit the Material and Texture name.
They have to match with the Texture.
