Hi i have a problem with this part, the way i login is at the Authentication : Windows Authentication not SQL server authentication, so do i put my Server.ini like this?

When you install sql server 2005 and Server management express, you'r supposed to use sql authentication (the option that lets you use the sa username)

NO, you should never do this. It will mess up the whole client.

Hi, How do i run the server?

In your matchserver folder, run matchserver, matchagent and locator in that order. If there is no server listed, you should probably check to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.

Can someone tell me, is it possible to run this from a dedi host?? if it is, are there any tuts?

@AuraKing, about the password, i have been wondering the same thing, just hope someone will reply soon , And can someone maby explain how to obtain a username + password, lol as you can see im new to this, and want to learn as much as possible!

Edit: Ok nevermind, i found out how to create a sa password, google is ftw!

When you are installing SQL server 2005 and Server management express, use the setup settings to choose sql authentication (the option that allows you to input a password)

Edit: Nevermind i suddenly found a folder called system and did everything but there is no config.xml so instead i created one inside and the rest worked out great Thanks Man : )

Ummm, config.xml is in the client folder, not the system folder XD

I changed the config.xml, locator and matchserver.ini codes and are now correct.

Thanks ALot this really helped me and my friend got our server up but since we didnt get enough munny for a vps my friend let us use his ultimate computer he uses for vps but on the account he can port forward 1 port we did 6000 will it work?

I used this tut and files to make clean server but ...:blink:

few problems detected
1. No log(mastch,agent & so...) ?!
2. Everything looks fine in the matchservers,locator & agent untill try enter the game
3. Edited Launcher to be ok but after joining server there is nothing no server to login >> nothing comes on the server windows ...

that mean the server is ok but the client sux ???

don't watch IP's localhost for testing , I was having a server (gunz) a long time ago maybe a year ago ... when [BR/June] client/server was released

İ have a problem. My matchagent matchserver locator logs are normal they work fantastic. But when i open client i cant see any server. And when i try to login match server adds one more GARBAGE SESSION CLEANING.

gawd portforwarding is super gey on my router it have a pw T.T

every router has a password; it's their for your every computer on your networks protection, however if you've got a linksys router, or any other router; the password is ordinarilly 'admin'(remove the') i don't know if you knew this or not, just trying to help
