[Tut] How to SVN Checkout

This guide includes many pretty pictures for the illiterate. Enjoy~

Step 1) Download and Install Tortoise SVN from

You must be registered to see links

YOU MUST RESTART.

Step 2)Create a new folder called SandBox on your desktop.

Step 3)In that folder create another folder named "Lily."

Step 4)Right click it and hit "SVN Checkout."

Step 5)This brings up the checkout configuration screen.
Paste this into the area where it says "URL of repository"

http://svn.assembla.com/svn/lily/

Step 5 and a half)Hit OK.

Step 5 and three quarters)If successful, it should look like this.

That's it. You're done. You now have the Lily source straight from the official SVN.


TO UPDATE THE SOURCE:

Step 1)Right click the "Lily" folder and click "SVN Update."

Well it updates to latest Rev. of the game/source.

for example your on rev 6 and you want to get to latest version of lily/odin/vana this is a guide on how to update to latest rev.

This guide is for lily.

Well, if your only getting that and you did it exactly how Murad explained, then Acrylic or Matthias is most likely updating the SVN.

Well, it allows you to easily get the latest Lily source, and update it within seconds.

If you use an SVN Checkout you can download the source and update it constantly straight from their servers. This removes the need of downloading the source from mediafire or rapidshare.

But you can always google for tutorials on checking out/updating with SVN.
