I decided to make a little walkthrough of the current sources available and it's pro's and con's. You might want to read this when you're opening a server. The information might be obvious for many of you people, but for newcomers and people that aren't very familiar with private MapleStory servers yet it might come handy. All content is written by me, Weaxer and any copying/publicing without crediting me is not allowed.

+ = The more pluses the better

1) OdinMS (OdinMS Team: )

OdinMS was/is the first source developed. A public server existed, but unfortunately OdinMS was sued by Nexon. OdinMS was shut down and development quit. Head Some more information:

Language: Java/JS (Rev: N/A)
OdinMS Pro's/Con's: Simplicity (++) - Stability (++++) - Functions (++++)
Currently Supporting: 0.58 / Tespia gMS (repacked source)
Development Status: Official Development Closed - Repacker's, (such as ), are working on updating the source.

Head Developer(s): Matze & Serpendium

Known repack(s) of OdinMS:
OdinSnow
SeanPack
CookieMS Repack
EternalMS
PCMaple
AwesomeMS
Woainioh's Repack Extreme Edition
Nesmy's Repack
Xkush's Repack
Zkyie's Repack
LocalMS
The Ultimate Repack Triple
Chemical MS Repack
NubStory Repack
Kelmy's Repack
Pwnnnned's Odin Source Folder
CioRepack
RaveStory Repack

(let me know if any repack was let out)

2)
Vana (Vana Team: )

Vana is being developed by the Vana Team (or whatever they're called).
Vana uses MySQL for storing all data. Vana is also a fork to TitanMS, which means that Vana is a project to make continue developing TitanMS their way, and improving it. Some more information:

Language: C++/Lua (Rev: N/A)
Vana Pro's/Con's: Simplicity (+++) - Stability (+++) - Functions (++)
Currently Supporting: 0.58 / Tespia gMS
Development Status: In Development by the Vana Team
Head Developer(s):
pawipt, doyos & more

Known repack(s) of Vana:
Releasing repacks of Vana is not allowed by the Vana Team. Therefore no repacks are listed.

3) TitanMS (koolk from RaGEZONE)

TitanMS was the first Open Source project and the first source released ever. TitanMS ruled the whole MapleStory private server world until OdinMS released their source. Some more information:

Language: C++ (Rev: 0.0.9)
TitanMS Pro's/Con's: Simplicity (++++) - Stability (+) - Functions (++)
Currently Supporting: 0.55 - Soon supporting 0.58 / Tespia gMS
Development Status: In Development by koolk
Head Developer(s): koolk

Known repack(s) of TitanMS:
WeedStory (My repack, the first repack ever)
Krytical's Repack
RealityMS
King's Repack
Hero's Repack
DYSMAPLE
IWW's Repack
MapleFXP
JunMS Repack
AshurMS Repack

(let me know if any repack was let out)

I hope you found this helpful. I will keep updating this thread. Leave a feedback.
Thank you!

EDIT: Mods, could you please stop merging my posts weird and change my title all the time? LOL

Re: [WALKTHROUGH] Sources: Information about available sources

Good Job, Weaxer! :D

Thanks =)

And by the way, if people are wondering, I'm not "WeedStory Owner" I am the real owner but "WeedStory Owner" is the owner of our server =)

Might be confusing but I'm not the user quoted.

Re: [Guide - Walkthrough] Sources: Information about available sources

Thanks guys.

I've quit making my repacks long time ago. I'll probably never make any more repacks either. And our server is using Odin, that's because we would be nothing without it simply. Lol.

Updated with repack information.

(Sparks infracted me and merged my posts weird..)

Re: [WALKTHROUGH] Sources: Information about available sources

Please remove my repack from this list. It's old, unsupported, and has no features, not to mention I removed the download link.

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

Sure if you want to, but I listed all existed repacks from all time.

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

What about odin snow or you dont want to talk about? Dont flame me. Nice guide. I like it.

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

Just remove it. You have no business mentioning it.

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

You must have been ashamed over that repack. Was it really that bad? ;d Deleted.

Odin Snow is mentioned there...

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

Uh, no, but it's based on TitanMS v 0.0.3, it has no features, and runs on .53, iirc. It's utterly worthless to even mention it anymore.

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

Okay, no problems, I removed it :)

Re: [Guide] Sources: Information about available sources

a suggestion is to add links to this, but anyways nice :)!
