[TUT] Using original launcher!

Ok this tut will explain to you how to fix the launcher for your private server and setup the right service for it.
Dont steal this tut!

Only iGunz - International Gunz

Almost forgot its 5:05 am havent slept yet!!
so somethings might not be 100% dont forget to correct me .

- used to remove the launcher updater tool.

- used to place your own ftp ip + username + password >< and maybe page to get the news..

Ok first when you installed the tools any hex editor sould do the trick though..
I take it the installing went without a problem now Right Click..
the launcher press Open with PEexplorer

Wait until its loaded.
now goto View > Resource and press it

Ok now we can see that there's a exe stored inside,
Lets delete it

Right!!
Now its deleted lets save the project.
Give it a diffrent name!

You will get a error that the size of the "image" has changed press Yes
ok the file is almost done! sweet eh..
Now right click the file you just created.
Press hex edit with hex workshop

Once its loaded press ctrl + f
a window sould open now set it like this

press ok you will see at the first result

root....qorhvk..218.145.160.136 218.145.160.135 218.145.160.134

now lets root = username, qorhvk = password.
those other 3 are the ips. yes
now replace those ips with your ip.
if your ip is shorter than these ips press the hex field and just typ 00
like if you got 127.0.0.1 but want to have 127.0.0. the 1 will be replaced by 00

ok now save the file!
a backup sould be made dont worry.

ok install any ftp server you want! yes any.
make a account root password qorhvk.
directory where you stored your modded gunz client!
no wait dont hurry.
if you got it like c:\maiet\gunz then take maiet as the main directory.
and give this account only read access.

next step getting the files for the launcher!
now login to the ftp of the original gunz > 218.145.160.136
password and login guess it its in this tut .

get the first 2 files a .torrent and .xml
now edit the xml file to match your edited gunz files hashes.
dont know how i wont tell you!
now for the torrent you dont really need it!,
nah you have to make your own torrent yes really!
take a torrent creator i used utorrent :/,
just select the gunz directory and enter a tracker like,

or a other tracker that you dont have to register first.
ok press create.
place the torrent in the maiet folder next to the patch.xml
and the launcher sould work!!

Now if only you could mod a launcher that directly downloads instead of torrents, like BrGunz or InGunz.

Lol. It's not as simple as just editing an IP address for the InGunz launcher. And there's no launcher.ini or anything.

uhm these sould be setting inside the ini..

and uhm

patch.gunzonline.co.in
change that to your host or ip and setup a webserver..

hmmm. must be dutch . Already got this for some time but great job!! I think im going to release a tuto on how to disallow peaple to open gunz.exe so you force them to use the launcher.

Yes it means you didnt do what i said like i said before ..
probably the part with the 00
your ip cant be bigger than the original ip..
dont try to place a host .
your full ip sould fit nicely fill it up with 00 hex code's
